As ‘The Big Bang Theory’ reaches 100 episodes, Two Tube soap addict Sarina Bellissimo delves into cast’s sitcom past.

“Bazinga!” Recently ‘The Big Bang Theory ‘celebrated its 100th episodes in the US.

This sitcom, about two socially awkward scientists, their friends, and their gorgeous neighbour, has been a slow burner – picking up new fans, and awards, each season.

It’s not the first TV show for most of the ‘The Big Bang Theory’ cast. For many of them, this is the second or third time they have been part of a hit sitcom. Rather than looking back at some of the best moments of the past 100 shows, I’ve checked out where it all began for the cast of this successful show.

Johnny Galecki – Leonard Hofstadter
From 1992 – 1997, Johnny played David Healy, Darlene’s (Sara Gilbert) love interest, in the popular 90′s comedy ‘Roseanne’.

Jim Parsons – Sheldon Cooper
From 2004 – 2005, Jim played Rob Holbrook in the legal drama ‘Judging Amy’.

Kaley Cuoco – Penny
From 2002 – 2005, Kaley played the boy crazy Bridget on ‘8 Simple Rules … For Dating My Teenage Daughter’.

Simon Helberg – Howard Wolowitz
Before ‘The Big Bang Theory’, Simon was on two shows that starred former ‘Friends’ actors. From 2004 – 2006, Simon played Seth, in Matt Le Blanc’s ‘Joey’ and from 2006 – 2007 he was on Matthew Perry’s ‘Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip’.

Kunal Nayyar – Raj Koothrappali
This is Kunal’s first sitcom. Below is a clip of Kunal on the ‘Lopez Tonight’.

Mayim Bialik – Amy Farrah Fowler
Mayim played the girl everyone wanted to be in the 90s, the girl with the hat, Blossom, in the hit sitcom of the same name.
